NDT (Natural Desiccated Thyroid)
Thyroid hormone replacement derived from porcine thyroid. Contains both T4 and T3.
Armour Thyroid, NP Thyroid, WP Thyroid. Provides both T4 (levothyroxine) and T3 (liothyronine) — synthetic levothyroxine alone is the standard, but some patients feel better on NDT. Evidence is mixed; mainstream endocrinology generally prefers levothyroxine.
