Topical finasteride
Compounded liquid finasteride applied to the scalp. Less systemic absorption than oral.
Compounded topical finasteride (alone or with minoxidil) gives similar hair benefit to oral finasteride with theoretically lower systemic side effects. Evidence is growing but smaller than oral. Available via most telehealth dermatology platforms.
