Body care: keratosis, body acne, eczema online
Body skin gets less attention than facial skin and often responds to the same prescriptions. Telehealth handles photo-based body conditions well — back acne, keratosis pilaris, mild eczema, dark spots. The prescription tiers are similar to facial dermatology with slightly different formulations.

Back and chest acne
Same biology as facial acne — clogged follicles, inflammation, bacteria. Treatment: benzoyl peroxide wash (10%), topical clindamycin, oral antibiotics for severe cases, spironolactone for hormonal patterns. Compounded body washes with tretinoin + benzoyl peroxide work well for stubborn body acne.
Keratosis pilaris
Tiny rough bumps on upper arms, thighs, butt. Affects ~40% of adults. No cure, but ammonium lactate 12% lotion + urea cream + chemical exfoliation (AHA/BHA) reduce roughness within 4-6 weeks. Telehealth programs prescribe compounded combos for $30-60/month.
Body eczema
Mild-to-moderate eczema responds to telehealth: topical steroids (triamcinolone, clobetasol — short-term only), topical calcineurin inhibitors (tacrolimus, pimecrolimus — longer-term). Severe eczema, biologics like dupilumab, requires in-person dermatology.
